Mary O´Grady: “Populismo, Proteccionismo y Prohicionismo están destruyendo Latinoamérica”

Mary O’Grady (Walll Street Journal) dio esta charla de 30 minutos en el Reason Weekend 2012, encuentro anual de la Reason Foundation. Una charla clara y magistral sobre las 3 “P” que están lastrando el desarrolllo de la América Latina.

Lo más interesante es que lo atribuye a causas culturales, no económicas (lo económico prevalece demasiado en muchos liberales, que renuncian a la batalla de las ideas):

“The inequality produced by liberty: This, for the socialist, is the soft underbelly of pro-market rationale and the best place to attack. I would argue that it’s the intellectual stream that prevails in Latin America, and it’s the reason the region can not hope to reach its potential any time soon.”
